HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL - PETER STEFANCHIK, PGA

Throughout his entire professional career, Pete has gained extensive experience in running the high end golf experience that the Elmwood Golf Program provides. Pete grew up playing the game of golf in his hometown of Princeton, New Jersey. Having been introduced to the game by his late grandfather, Michael Stefanchik II, who was also a member of PGA of America, Pete found his passion and committed to the game very early in life. Pete attended the Professional Golf Management Program at Methodist University, from which he received his B.A. Degree in Business Administration. In 1999 Pete was a member of the Men’s National Championship Team, finishing 8th in the United States as an All American. Since then Pete has played at the highest levels both locally and nationwide, with Top-15 finishes in multiple Golden Bear Events and in the New York State Open, as well as a Top-10 finish at the New Jersey Open. Pete has worked at many of the best facilities in the country and began his professional career as the First Assistant and eventual, Interim Head Golf Professional, at Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson, N.J. His experience working at Metedeconk National, for the TPC Network, the PGA of America, and Ardsley Country Club has made him well balanced and versed in every aspect of our Golf Program.

His work experience at Pebble Beach Golf Links, the Links at Spanish Bay, Philadelphia Country Club, and Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, FL make him keenly aware of the type of service that Elmwood deserves. Billy has been a member of the PGA of America since September of 2013. He continues to further his PGA education through seminars he attends throughout the year and at the PGA Merchandise Show every January. Outside of Elmwood Billy is currently involved as a mentor for the Pennsylvania State University PGA Golf Management School to help future PGA Professionals get through their PGA bookwork and help them with future internships. In his free time he likes to work on his golf game and play in golf tournaments in the Metropolitan PGA Section.
